- 12 jalapeño peppers halved lengthwise and seeds removed
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Prepare the Jalapeños: Carefully cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes (wear gloves to protect your hands from the spicy oils).
Stuff the Jalapeños: Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in firmly.
Air Fry the Poppers: Place the stuffed jalapeños in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the jalapeños are tender.
Serve: Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly. Serve warm, garnished with additional cilantro if desired. Enjoy your spicy, creamy snacks!
- For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon bits or diced vegetables to the cheese filling.
- Adjust the spiciness by leaving some seeds in the jalapeños or using milder peppers.
