Ingredients

  • Fresh Spinach: 8 oz 225g, sautéed
  • Cream Cheese: 8 oz 225g, softened
  • Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Mozzarella: 1 cup (100g)
  • Sour Cream: 1/2 cup 120ml
  • Garlic: 2 cloves minced
  • Salt and Pepper: To taste
  • Nutmeg optional: 1/4 tsp
  • Paprika optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Sauté the Spinach: Start by sautéing the fresh spinach in a skillet until it wilts. Drain any excess liquid.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the sautéed spinach, cream cheese, shredded cheese, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Stir everything together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Prepare the Dish: Transfer the spinach and cheese mixture into an oven-safe dish or ramekin that fits inside your air fryer.
  • Cook in the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the dish in the air fryer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the dip is hot and bubbly with a golden-brown top.
  • Serve: Carefully remove the dip from the air fryer and garnish with paprika (optional). Serve hot with crackers, bread, pita chips, or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute fresh spinach with frozen spinach. Just thaw and drain it before mixing with the other ingredients.
  • For extra flavor, try mixing different types of shredded cheese, like cheddar, mozzarella, or parmesan.
  • Adjust air fryer cooking times depending on your model to ensure even cooking.
