Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 package of crescent roll dough
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pumpkin Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, cream cheese, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • Cut Crescent Dough: Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into 2-inch squares.
  • Fill Dough Squares: Place a small dollop of the pumpkin mixture in the center of each square.
  • Shape Bombs: Carefully fold the dough edges over the pumpkin mixture and seal them to form small balls.
  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Air Fry the Pumpkin Bombs: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the pumpkin bombs in the basket, making sure they don’t touch. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve: Let the pumpkin bombs cool for 2-3 minutes, then dust them with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover pumpkin bombs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze them for up to a month. To reheat, simply place them back in the air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes for that freshly baked taste.
  • Flavor Variations:
    • Add chocolate chips to the filling for a chocolatey twist.
    • Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top for a crunchy finish.
    • Try a savory version by adding herbs like thyme or sage to the filling.
  • Make Ahead: You can prepare the pumpkin bombs ahead of time, freeze them, and air fry them when needed. Add 1-2 extra minutes to the cooking time if cooking from frozen.
