  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cold
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

Prepare the Apple Filling:

  • Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place the slices in a large bowl.
  • Toss the apples with granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until they’re evenly coated.

Make the Cobbler Topping:

  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the milk to form a thick, slightly sticky dough.

Assemble the Cobbler:

  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket or line it with parchment paper.
  • Spoon the apple filling into the prepared basket, spreading it out evenly.
  • Dollop the cobbler topping over the apples, using your fingers to gently spread it out.

Air Fry:

  • Air fry at 350°F for 15-18 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Serve:

  • Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce.

Notes

  • Apple Variety: Mix tart apples like Granny Smith with sweet ones like Honeycrisp for a balanced flavor.
  • Topping Variations: Add a streusel topping for a classic crumbly texture, or sprinkle nuts like walnuts for added crunch.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve with whipped cream, powdered sugar, or a drizzle of caramel sauce for a decadent touch.
  • Make-Ahead: Prepare the filling and topping in advance, then assemble and air fry when ready to serve.
  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving.
